Well, there we are...Me, Chau, TJ...and okay, that's not Devon. But since he refuses to put his face on a blog, I put a picture of the guy, The Westender in there. Flying beside him is my boat, The Westender.
These are just some of the many pictures I didn't put on my blogs. From Left to Right, there's some good shots in India, Thailand and Egypt.
And finally, where I'm headed...home to Oahu. On the left is Kanakaole playing piggy back, for real!! Mmmm, pork, the other scary, grizzly meat. On the right is the pretty postcard picture of the beach.
Mahalo for joining us on our ten month trek around the world. Stick around and maybe I'll have a picture of me carrying a wild boar....or not.
Tj built a battlebot that would take on my iDog and its crazy Punjabi rage. iDog hasn't stopped whimpering and it's moving its head from side to side like a blonde in an 80s movie. I think it may have a touch of the iRabies.
We names Tj's battlebot iBattlebot and it too got a touch of the iADHD and began spinning in uncontrolable circles...chasing its tail perhaps? It too must groove to the stylin' beat of the Punjab.
In other news, we're sailing the iWestender to the iEastern coast of iThe United States and BAM!! y'all are having some king of hurricaine over there, aren't ya? we got socked pretty badly last night with a case of the iRogue waves and a bout of the iSea Sickness. But we survived. It's still not as deadly as crab fishing.
And finally, WHY DOES THE US SOCCER TEAM SUCK SO BADLY?
Does anyone else have an iDog? It's a cute little contraption that
plays your iPod music on a little teeny speaker and JUDGES YOU!
I've found out the following about my iDog
1. iDog must listen to music 24-7 and sometimes even more than that.
2. iDog does not like his tail touched
3. Regardless of the directions/translations that come with iDog,
his head will light up in random sequences, signifying nothing in
particular. Attempting to understand iDog is futile.
4. iDog responds with a tune of its own to let you know if he likes your music
5. iDog hates the following music: rock, rap, emo, new age,
contemporary, R&B, metal, techno, hip hop, classical, latino,
alternative, easy listening, podcasts.
6. iDog only likes the following music: country & Panjabi MC
-- yes, iDog is quite the fan of Indian music. Hmmm, I wonder who
designed iDog!!
...to iDog's credit, Panjabi MC does kick it, hardcore.
What's
a trip to Spain without the Circuit de Catalunya! It was an
awesome race...I wish I could say I was there. Sadly, we left Barcelona
the day before the races began.
But a cool guy we met in Barcelona was kind enough to send me pictures from where he was seated. He's an American named Mark.
Sometimes it's nice to run into fellow Americans out here in the world
of non-fat, non-lazy, non-loud Europeans. Mark's an engineer who
designs helicopters and his wife was cool enough to let him go to Spain
without her.
I apologize for my incessant topless beach rant. I think karma tried to give me a hint when my sparkplug spontaneously combusted and I needed to head back to the topless beach where there's a parts store. Actually, now that I think about it, it was TJ or Chau that gave me the hint...they are the engineers, after all.
Sparkplugs aside, we're in Portugal now. I'm starting to miss ignorant Americans...there's nobody to blame things on without them...well, I could blame things on myself and Devon...but where's the fun in that?
I wish I had more to say, but we didn't live it up too much on land today. We got bogged down in The Man's paperwork and as usual, the Canadians of us got through it in no time and went motocrossing and I was stuck showing every document in the universe to the grumpy port dude guy. Jerk. I think next time I'm being the engineer and TJ and Chau can be the captain...what am I saying? TJ thought Hawaii was located next to Alaska in a little box next to Mexico!
